PLANT HABITAT FOR SPECIES AT RISK

* Monarchs are currently listed in Ontario as a species of special concern — and it is anticipated that they may soon be re-classified as endangered.

Through the Monarch Nation program, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is pleased to offer a limited number of schools in the GTA the chance to receive a free planting kit.

These plant kits will create much needed habitat for species at risk — including the monarch butterfly.*

Creating habitat is the SINGLE most important thing we can do to support any species at risk – take this chance to get involved!
